What The Hell Is Going On N Chi-Town???

Yesterday in my hometown of Chicago, my uncle was shot 6x's in a drive by shooting.  He (and most of my family) live, breathe and die Chicago and he wouldnt have it any other way.  He is stable now (praise the Lord) after getting some of his foot shattered by bullets, among other bullet wounds.  He just turned 60 on July 9, has the most awesome sence of humor and just as hood as you wanna be.  He has branded himself "60 cent" (i know, i know).

Chicago is my place of birth and my real "home town" and the shootings and killings there is OFF THE CHAIN!!!  Was reading the Tribune and negros is fuckn wildn' out...WTF???  I love Chicago (the most fabulous place to visit), but dammmnnn...WTF...

Please keep our family in ur prayers and thanks for allowing me to rant...

Its not only in the Chi, its here to.  All I can say is the devil is on a rampage and we have to pray harder sis.  Praying for you and your family to stay safe.

IL just initiated some type of gun ban...yeah rite...4,000 shootings THIS YEAR...amazing...yeah, the devil is a liar though...thanks trina for your prayers...

I am so sorry for your uncle and your family.  When I see the way we treat each other in big cities or small towns I'm holding my head asking why oh why.  What does it take to teach our children to value humanity over their petty wars?  Why do we generation after generation destroy our neighborhoods and each other?  Your uncle and family are in my prayers.

I am so sorry. Chicago is crazy, and with it being summertime its even a little worse than normal. I'll be keeping your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Frankie, I just read about your uncle...and the 5 others shot here overnight...and then, this morning at 6:00 a.m., a police who had JUST left work and who in 2 weeks was to RETIRE...was SHOT AND KILLED in an attempted car jacking - IN FRONT OF HIS HOME!

The mayor and the City Council are to blame for a lot of the violence that has taken over this entire city - the city conducted a massive eviction from public housing a few years ago and with that systematic eviction, sent the thugs and their peeps out into the communities through the 'scattered housing' program...what has resulted is an extremely high increase in violent crimes and murders in our city...and the mayor is doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about it!

I am so angry this morning...that I want to just walk up to him and SLAP some sense into his brain!

In the meantime, praying for your uncle's recovery...and for the others affected by this craziness...most of all - PRAYING FOR OUR CITY!
